Each architectural project, whether a new building, a new space or a modernization program, begins with
listening to the client's goals and objectives for the project. We
conduct interviews to understand short and
long term requirements, operational processes and
work flow, the way in which they view themselves and how they'd like
their customers, employees, guests, and business partners to view them.
We sit with the building owner to learn what their
expectations are for short and long term investment returns.
Then we develop an initial plan that responds to everything we've
heard. It forms the basis for further discussion, refinement, and
the next plan iteration. Once the client feels that the plan is
addressing his needs, we move on to more detailed planning,
complemented by a space or building design. At each step, we
check to make sure we are responding to the client, we cross-check
against the project budget and verify the schedule.
One thing that distinguishes our architecture from others is that
each space is drawn to address the current needs as well as the
potential for future expansion, contraction, or change. Our spaces
are flexible because of this foresight and economical. Our processes
are tried and true. We believe in creating the simplest, most
straight-forward design and construction documents possible. We
have standardized many of our design details because we know what
works. Our drawings receive high praise from both the city officials
who must approve them and the contractors who are asked to build them.
We answer every question in an economy of space so there is no
confusion, no problem in meeting the schedule and
no problem in delivering on budget.
We build on our experience: our 35 years of architecture,
development and management bring an unparalleled
capacity to utilize best practices.
